Hucke AG publishes initial information on the completed financial year

HUCKE AG generated sales of EUR 116.2 million in the 2005/2006 financial year (to 30 April), which were thus 10.8% lower than sales in the previous year.

In addition to market-related decreases, there were also sales losses due to insufficient profit margin contributions from customers.

The last of the major restructuring measures were decided in the past financial year and have already been implemented to a large extent.

In parallel to the completion of the restructuring, the acquisition and expansion of new business areas and product lines began, in which sales are already being generated in the current financial year.

A decline in sales, restructuring expenditure and development costs for new products had a negative impact on earnings, which worsened significantly compared to the previous year (EBIT previous year: EUR -3.1 million).

The final figures will be available at the end of June.

The balance sheet meeting of the Supervisory Board will take place on 13 July 2006. The full 2005/2006 Annual Report, including the management report, will be available from 14 August 2006.
